I did all the exercises again a few times each and decieded to talk about
them and then choose which ones I would do often. I really like the flow of
Loving Kindness however to be honest right now where I am today I find it hard
to take in others suffering. I really enjoy other then that . This one tends to
put me to sleep.
When it comes to the Subtle Mind Practice I find myself taking the breathing
with me everywhere throughout the day I have started working on my breathing. Something
that stood out on this one is the whistle I really enjoyed that.
The Crime of the Century also has me working on my breathing and also the
phrase “ I FEEL BALANCE” sticks out in my head and I am starting to repeat it
often. I had trouble imagining everything because there was so much back to
back. This one is very good and enjoyable.
What I did is combine a few with the base being Meeting Aesclepius and repeating
May all individuals gain freedom from suffering.
May all individuals find sustained health, happiness, and wholeness.
May I assist all individuals in gaining freedom from suffering.
May I assist all individuals in finding health, happiness, and wholeness.
I really enjoy the Meeting Aesclepius exercise and after a
while the wise healer within became the person I want to be and will become. I use
the breathing technics that I have learned from the other exercise not only
when I do this I use them throughout the day. When I am Meeting Aesclepius or
the future me I work on my dream board and my goals. These exercises have
really helped my thinking not only when I am doing them when I am awake, I am
willing to bet that I even do it in my sleep.
The facts can lead to the inconvenient truth. . . .
I find it so interesting to read about other people's perceptions of the different exercises. Personally, I find that the subtle mind exercise puts me to sleep and I tend to carry thoughts from the loving kindness exercise around with me during the day. Isn't it odd how different people can react to the same thing in such opposite ways?
ReplyDeleteI think we can all take parts of each exercise and put in specific aspects to create our own practices that are beneficial to each of our needs. Some exercises can make you sleepy but is that such a bad idea?
ReplyDeleteEspecially if our bodies are trying to tell us that we need rest and rejuvenation.
