I see Yoda and Abraham Lincoln this is a very strange dual
however I have done this like this in a book called Think and Grow Rich where I
am asked to create a MASTER MIND group. Yoda was so profound with No! Try not.
Do or do not. There is no try however I choose to focus on Lincoln for this
assignment. I for some reason cannot get into this one. I have done the one for
Think and Grow Rich so much of the last five years that as she walks us through
it I cannot help but image him talking to me or reading a book with the light
through the crack in the wall and moon light. Okay I tried it a few more times
and I enjoy it however I can not find the wise inner self. Till this moment I
can still hear the man’s voice say “untrained mind and a closed heart” The
meditation in itself is great for me because will be able to meditate and offer
options to people because I have tried so many out and regardless if they
worked the way they were meant to they always help me feel better.
The thing that jumps up at me from the reading was “having a
map of Hawaii is not like actually being there” which to mean translates into
experience trumps theory. I often hear my husband say something similar to "One cannot lead another where one has not gone himself". Alex
often tells of the Economics teacher that he had in school and the time where
he asked the teacher how many business he had ran when he said none my husband
would asked ” You are teaching on theory right? What makes you qualified” or
the gym teacher who is smoking and is 30 pounds overweight. It is hard to take
someone series who does not practice what they preach. I also believe the
enjoyment of the doctor patient relationships being there is also great for
both and creates a great relationship and environment.
I go to the gym, I
eat right and I practice everything I would recommend to others. I would never
ask someone to do something I would not do my self plus If i tried I could recommend
things that worked for me and worked for others. This quote is something we all
need to look at and remember we will all have a chance to change some ones
life.
To laugh often and much; to win the respect
of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation
of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate
beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by
a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even
one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
