UNIT 4 LOVING KINDNESS

I liked it and in the beginning when we were asked to think of someone dear to us I felt over whelming joy and I smiled for a long time, A BIG KID IN THE CANDY STORE WITH A POCKET FULL OF MONEY SMILE. When I was asked to turn the feelings inward I found this very hard to do not sure why however it was and after a few times it still is. The first time I did it there was so much going on and it was hard to focus I could hear everything so it was like my senses were heighten also when I listen to it the first time I usually take notes so the I do not process it currently the first time around. Does any do this?  The falling asleep part almost happens even when taking notes.
Loving me first will make it easier to love others I really loved hearing this because it is something that I think we all have to deal with and learn. It is something so simple however it does not come naturally to everyone. I also like to think of it in terms of acceptance because once you accept yourself for who you are you can work on getting better!!!!
I did recommend it to others because I share everything however I did not get the response I thought I would. My husband who truly lives and believes in service to many leads to greatness did not like the taking in of suffering at all he was turned off by it immediately and that is not like him, I am not sure why however he just did not like that part. Alex said that he really enjoyed the rest of it however was not very comfortable with the suffering part.
The concept of Mental Workout is that we can work our mind or boost our brain through meditation. It is great because it calms the inner being and also helps focus on the good in life. Sometimes we have some much going on we do not have time for us, time for me. I can implement it with things like Loving Kindness and similar programs which focus on meditation and cleansing the mind. I can sometimes put some good music on and experience meditation. I really think the me time is also a great way for me to relax and find balance in my inner mind.
